Winter School 2026
Winter School 2026
Dear Matrics and Parents
During the June holidays a Winter School for matrics will be presented on UFS South Campus. Please note that a specific strategy will be used during the Winter School.
Exam coaching will be facilitated by experienced educators. Learners will be shown how to answer questions to score maximum marks in the Final Exams and they will be trained how to avoid common errors made by candidates. Chief Examiners and Senior Markers have been employed for this purpose. They will refer to questions frequently asked at the end of the year.
This year, the Winter School will be presented from 29 June to 3 July. We are very excited about the overwhelming interest in the Winter School so far.
The subjects to be presented are:
MATHEMATICS, MATH LIT, TECHNICAL MATHS, TECHNICAL SCIENCE, EGD GEOGRAPHY, ACCOUNTING, ENGLISH HL, ENGLISH FAL, AFRIKAANS FAL, PHYSICAL SCIENCES, LIFE SCIENCES, BUSINESS STUDIES and ECONOMICS.
Every day, there will be a double session for Mathematics.
Learners are not limited to the number of subjects they wish to register.
Learner material in the form of a 40-page book will be provided in each of the subjects. This is included in the fee of R350 / learner. All the study material and notes will be provided upon arrival on 29 June.
The Winter School Contact Teacher will compile a subject list of candidates for each school. The teacher will send the completed SUBJECT REGISTRATION FORM to monyetlabursaryproject@gmail.com by 5 June 2026. The last day for registration is 1 June 2026.
